Us

I belong to Chris...or 'Searcy' to many.  We have been married for almost 5 years and it has been full of laughter, tears, sharpening, joy, and FUN!  We are so very blessed!

We met when we were both in highschool.  1998 was the year.  He was a Junior and I a Sophomore.  We crossed paths again about 6 months later when I went to youth camp with his church.  This is where our 10 year friendship began....  We were friends for 10 years and both of us at different times had thought...well maybe???  But no, we were just friends.  :)  He was that 'friend' that I could talk to about EVERYTHING.  We would see each other over the next 10 years many many times and we would always end up talking for hours and hours.  We didn't know it at the time, but God was weaving our story together already.....and giving us a huge foundation for our future together one day.

By God's perfect plan and His perfect timing, we both ended up in a smaller town in North Texas with fairly new jobs, no significant others, and open hearts ready to see what God was ready to do with us.  We began spending time together like we always had, but realized quickly that this time it was very different.  We knew that God had brought us together.  Chris asked my daddy if he could pursue me in a relationship with marriage as the intent.  My daddy agreed and gave Chris the 'good luck'.  He came to me on June 13, 2006 and told me his intentions to pursue me and court me and asked me if I was ok with that.  Well......On December 1, 2006 he asked me to marry him in front of hundreds of people and on April 7, 2007 we were married and began our lives together.   It was short and sweet and we are the perfect example of the saying, "when you know, you know."

On our 4 month anniversary......we very surprisingly found out we were having a baby?!?!?  We now have a beautiful 3 1/2 year old little girl that we can't imagine life without even though she was quite a surprise.  We also have a 13 month old little boy that is ALL BOY.  Jesus has given us much to be joyful about.....

Our prayer for you, friend, is that you experience the fullness of His joy through His son Jesus Christ.
